Care and Maintenance Tips |

1. Normal wear and tear:
Pulling grips are an affordable way to install conduit,
cable, and pipe. Grips will wear out ! Because of the nature of the work
environment pulling grips are used in, regular prudent grip replacement
coupled with pre-use inspection is a must. Always replace grips when the
grip in question has frayed or broken wires.

2. Corrosion from outside sources:
Always store pulling grips and any other type of Lewis Equipment in a
cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Proper storage of grips will
help ensure that the mesh is not exposed to caustic chemicals or the
like. Replace grips if the grip in question has broken or frayed
wires. |

3. Exposure to heat source:
Heating up certain types of metals
may reduce tensile strengths, and cause flexibility problems. Store
grips away from any type of engine or exhaust system. electrical engine
etc. These surfaces can become extremely hot, and possibly damage the
grip. If your grips appears scorched or melted, discard immediately, and
or return to the factory for evaluation.

4. Visual Inspection:
Damage can be caused by many things. Always make a complete
visual inspection of the entire grip before and after each
use.
