The lining is woven in one piece on massive looms, under proper tension to insure a tightly woven superior quality product. Impregnated by vacuum process with high heat resisting compound, cured under tremendous heat and pressure, and specially treated, Lewis Lining is impervious to water, oil and grease. Abrasive-free fiber, wire insertion with infusible resins, tight weave, and pressure curing eliminate flange scoring tenden-cies and assure longer life!

Roll Lining is available in all thicknesses and widths for neutral brakes, special size drilling units and cable tool spudders, and miscellaneous units not shown in the catalog.

LEWIS BRAKE BLOCKS are formed to the precise arc of the flanges, are easy to install, and can be counted on to conform to the flanges during a long life of dependable performance. We are in a position to furnish the proper size brake blocks for newest type drilling rigs. Lewis Brake Blocks are drilled to fit each individual drawworks and are also available undrilled. Unless the band is known to have a standard or A.P.I. hole spacing, we recommend ordering undrilled blocks. HOLE PLUGS can be furnished, if desired. These plugs provide 100% wearing surface and minimize the collecting of dirt and abrasive particles.
