Cable is a reliable way to protect against the potential drop hazard of a
derrick light.

1.
Do not install Derrick Lights while personnel are below. Drop hazard.
2. Inspect safety cables frequently. If cables are frayed or corroded, remove
from service immediately.
3. Inspect snap swivels frequently. Snaps that have malfunctioning springs,
corroded hardware or distorted hardware should be removed and replaced
immediately.
4. Any safety cable that has been involved in a derrick light bracket failure
should be removed from service and replaced with a new unit.
5. Failure to properly install and inspect derrick light safety cables may cause
severe bodily injury or even death.
6. THIS IS NOT A FALL PROTECTION DEVICE. Do not use as Fall Protection
Equipment. |
